CONNECTIVE PERFORMANCE THERAPY
Integrating brain, body & identity in elite sport and athlete care.
PERFORMANCE STARTS WITH CONNECTION
Performance is more than physical.
It is neurological, psychological, physiological, and relational.
At Connective Performance Therapy, we work with the whole athlete - integrating body, brain, and identity to support sustainable, high-level performance.
Because excellence should be supported intelligently.
What I do
I integrate sport therapy, applied neuroscience, and performance psychology to support recovery, resilience, and sustainable high performance, helping athletes thrive both during and beyond their careers.
Integrated Sport Therapy
Injury rehabilitation and performance optimisation through an integrated lens of physiology, nervous system regulation, and applied sport science, supporting recovery, adaptation, and long-term performance.
Performance Psychology & Applied Neuroscience
Supporting athletes through injury and return to play, developing mental resilience, cognitive performance, and emotional regulation. This work integrates evidence-based techniques, including mental imagery and brain-based approaches such as Brainspotting, to support both recovery and sustained performance.
Post Sports Career Support
Individualised transition guidance and community support for professional athletes navigating life beyond elite sport.

Our approach
PERFORMANCE work begins with connection and attunement,
meeting the athlete exactly where they are.
We see the human behind the athlete first, respecting each individual’s journey, body, brain, and mind. There is no one-size-fits-all; every approach is individualised.
At Connective Performance Therapy, support is grounded in an integrated understanding of the athlete as a whole system. Guided by the Biopsychosocial Model, biological, psychological, and social factors interact to shape recovery, adaptation, and sustained performance.
An interdisciplinary sport science approach underpins our work, integrating expertise across physical and mental domains to support both individual athletes and the wider team environment.
This approach is collaborative and responsive, recognising that progress is not linear and that meaningful change emerges through alignment between body, brain, mind, and environment, always placing the athlete at the centre.
Eva Woods
Founder, Connective Performance
Integrating sport psychology, neuroscience, and sport therapy to support elite athletes through performance, injury, and transition.
With over 20 years dedicated to the intersection of brain and body in professional sports, my expertise lies in the nuanced field of integrated sports therapy, brainspotting, and neuroscience, particularly focusing on female athlete health.
At Connective Performance Therapy, our mission resonates with my personal commitment to optimising performance and wellbeing through innovative approaches. After completing my degree in Sports & Exercise Psychology, with a dissertation focused on retired professional female footballers in the UK, my practice reflects a persistent pursuit of knowledge and excellence, dedicated to elevating athlete care by addressing critical gaps in sport science and psychology through both female‑specific physiology and male‑specific approaches.
My tenure at Chelsea Football Club as both a Sports Therapist and a Women's Health Coach allowed me to hone skills in sports injuries management and prevention, while emphasising the vital role of health and wellbeing in maximising female athletes' performance. These roles have fortified my ability to design and implement multifaceted strategies that support the strengths and physiology of athletes, ensuring their recovery and readiness align with the demands of high-stakes competition
